FC Barcelona in Euroleague Basketball
FC Barcelona is one of the best basketball teams in Europe, but they were not able to make it to the top of this year's Euroleague...
After losing by just a few points they went out before the «Final Four» play off in the most prestigious basketball competition in Europe. They played really well in the preliminary rounds, and topped the table in their group together with Real Madrid. Unfortunately, they lost 71 – 68 against Olympiacos Piraeus and their Euroleague adventures ended in Greece.
The final of the Euroleague was played in Madrid. Home favorites Real Madrid beat Olympiacos 78-59 in the final. Real Madrid has not won the Euroleague in 20 years so there was a huge celebration afterwards.
