This weekend FC Barcelona played the Champions League quarterfinal. The opponent was PPD Zagreb from Croatia. It turned out to be a fantastic show. Barcelona was up by 23-10 at half time, and when the match was over the score was 43-21, quite astonishing. This was FC Barcelona's biggest win this year in Champions League, and Zagreb's biggest loss ever in Champions League history.
The match was maybe their best this season. Nicola Karabatic, who many considered the best handball player in the world, led the show for FC Barcelona. The pace was incredible, the fights many, and the goals spectacular. Lasarov (9), Karabatic (7) and Tomas (6) scoret the most goals for Barcelona. The atmosphere in the arena fantastic. The crowd was ecstatic throughout the whole game. Towards the end, all of Palau Blaugrana stood up and gave the players standing ovations.
After the game, the spectators refused to leave. They continued to cheer their heroes, while the players thanked their audience and signed autographs.
