Children's festival and Light Festival
In February (6th-12th) it is time for the biggest annual festival for children. Known as "Les festes de Santa Eulàlia"...
The program for the festival includes concerts, processions, open house events, human pyramids, parades of giants and many activities for children like storytelling, fireworks, workshops and more. The streets are filled with giants, devils, dragons, eagles, lions and other exciting creatures. Many museums have an open house day and some are free to visit throughout the whole festival. The main events will be held in the Ciutat Vella old city of Barcelona. The festival coincides with the Barcelona Light Festival this year. During the Barcelona light festival, many of Barcelona's iconic buildings are beautifully illuminated by night. There are special light installations and walking routes. Some of the highlights of LlumBCN are the light projection shows, which paint light shows on the facades of buildings. We can highly recommend this beautiful and spectacular festival to everyone!
