Fireworks and parties were often saved for Sant Juan in June. However, the last couple of years, this has changed, and in recent years, Barcelona has been inspired by how other countries celebrate the New Year. This year, for the second time, there was a huge party in front of the Magic Fountain in Montjuic. 70 000 people were gathered to celebrate the new year and enjoy fireworks and a great show.
